What is a Five-tool Player?
The "five-tool player" evaluation is the gold standard by which players are measured. However, most talent scouts agree that all five tools can only be found in a handful of players within professional baseball. Most of the game's players don't have all five tools. Yet every player who desires to excel in the game (no matter what level) must work hard at all five tools of the game. Five-Tool Baseball Camp isn't about identifying whether or not a player is a "five-tooler." Rather, it is about Helping players work on the essential tools that make baseball the most challenging game you'll ever love.

Summer Camp
Group & individual ability based instruction from area college coaches and college players as well as area high school coaches and high school players. Morning "five-tool sessions" which include individual drills, group drills, and large group instruction. Daily competitions which include "The Gold Glove Challenge," "Mile High Fly Ball Challenge," "Speed Base Running Challenge," "Sharp Shooter Target Throwing," and "Home-Run Derby." Afternoon game sessions that give players the opportunity to develop their five-tool skills while focusing on the best part of baseball: having fun! |
Fall & Winter ClinicsSmall group instruction with emphasis placed on the individual perfoRmance of each player. Instruction is led by Cory Bigler, who will bring his expertise from working with area pitchers (little league to D-1). Four week instruction sessions last an hour each week and will include Cory's own pitching program. Each player will receive individualized attention in these sessions. |
